The space

The Old Cowshed is a former dairy conversion boasting spacious rooms and boundless natural light.

Situated within the grounds of Old Prospect Farm, a Grade II listed medieval farmhouse, the Old Cowshed maintains it’s own unique and private feel. The bedroom is spacious with vaulted ceilings and old beams, king size bed with memory ‘Emma’ mattress, organic cotton sheets & mezzanine level with optional single floor mattress. The open plan kitchen feeds onto the dining / sitting room with bi-fold doors onto private patio, parking and views of sheep-grazed fields. We keep the kitchen stocked of basic essentials for the dishwasher etc and with milk on arrival.

Located centrally in the picturesque village of Mells the property has been redeveloped using a host of natural materials and supplied 100% by renewable energy (solar & air source heat pump). The property also benefits from access to a 7kW Zappi v2 EV charger, the use of it is upon agreement.

Guest access

The entire building, terrace and parking area is let. Access to the Old Propsect Farm’s field, which rise up and benefit from beautiful sunsets and views of Mells, is possible on request – where their friendly pet sheep will come and say hello! The stones at the top of the field make for a perfect sundown drink location.

A suitable desk for working can be provided upon request.
We can supply a single mattress that can be placed on the mezzanine layer of the bedroom upon request.
EV charger costs to be agreed depending on scale of charge needed.
